Scientist (m/d/w) / Study Director Biotransformation (m/w/d)

RESPONSIBILITES

Planning, executing, monitoring, and reporting client-based drug metabolism studies

Independently communicate with clients regarding project status and results

Preparation of presentations, and participation in client visits and audits

Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations such as GLP, GCP, radiation protection and other guidelines pertaining to the R&D process, study conduct, and registration of drugs.

Follow current advances in mass spectrometry as well as new methods and latest developments in drug metabolism.

Evaluation and implementation of new technologies and skills in drug metabolism, metabolite identification, UPLC-HR-MS, and radio detection in accordance with the department strategy 

Enforcing adherence to safety measures in laboratories

Maintaining the laboratory environment and instruments

QUALIFICATIONS

PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field

Hands-on experiences in operating and maintaining UPLC and high resolution mass spectrometric equipment for the purpose of metabolite identification and characterization of small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, or other modalities

Experience and knowledge in the interpretation of mass spectral data for metabolite structure elucidation

Relevant experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech industry, or CRO in drug development/drug metabolism is desirable but not a prerequisite

Profound organizational and problem-solving skills, high personal initiative

Excellent communication skills, independent, conscientious and self-reliant working style

Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
